a well made but somewhat generic amber ale, good, but not at all indicative i dont think of what these guys are up to o a general level. they had an extremely diverse and innovative beer menu with a ton of options, and while this is good, its easily the most basic of their offerings they had on while i was there. clear and bright, a little lighter than many, more of a maple syrup color than in the red family, with an inch of pretty white head with fine retention. the aroma and flavor are simple, a light crystal malt grain profile and a bit of grassy hops for little more than balance. it starts out a little sweet, but ends up more clean than expected in the finish, somewhat nutty, but simple and easy drinking with just a little warming toasted property to it to take the chill off, at least as far as the vibe is concerned. i really like the lighter body on this, and the relative dryness in the later stages. i was really impressed with the beers here, lots off creativity and nice execution. i suppose every brewery has to have a few mass appeal beers like this, and this is good for that, but i would suggest almost anything else on their list for a more unique experience!
