Pleasantly spritzy on the tongue. Modest head on the orangey amber brew in the Kasteel chalice. A hint of flowery hops in the nose.
This is less intensely flavored than a lot of rye-brewed ales, but it's thoroughly drinkable. Smooth and malty with a light grainy edge. Not much bitterness, but enough to balance the shy sweetness. A little caramel taste.
Excellent creamy mouthfeel, like a German Kellerbier.
