12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 5/9/2016. Pours fairly hazy pale golden straw color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, orange peel, honey, wheat, biscuit, floral, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, grapefruit, orange peel, light pine, honey, wheat, biscuit, floral, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, grapefruit, orange peel, light pine, honey, wheat, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of citrus/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero alcohol warming as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a good American pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness and balance of citrus/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and refreshing to drink. Was hoping for a bit more hop vibrancy against the malt, but this was nicely enjoyable and well balanced otherwise.
