Sandy beaches, the sound of the tide, a comfortable chair, and an abundance of tropical fruits ripe for the picking; we’ve taken all of this and put it in a glass. This kettle sour is smooth and easy drinking with a slight sour bite. Heavily dosed with dragon fruit, pineapple, and mango these fruit flavors combine to create a juicy mouthfeel at the front of the pallet and a sweet tropical finish on the nose. With a modest ABV this beer is sure to help beat the heat during the dog days of summer to come.

16 ounce prowler into tulip glass, filled on 9/28/2019. Pours opaquely hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a small fairly dense off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge juicy/tart/tangy dragon fruit, kiwi, strawberry, pineapple, mango, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dragon fruit, pineapple, mango, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy dragon fruit, kiwi, strawberry, pineapple, mango, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light bitter/spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy dragon fruit, kiwi, strawberry, pineapple, mango, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dragon fruit, pineapple, mango, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is an awesome fruited kettle sour. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dragon fruit, pineapple, mango, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Nicely soft feel and not overly lactic. Very flavorful for the ABV. Awesome balance of big juicy/jammy fruit and Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.
