Wtf?! Next to some other hops, this tastes both maltier, yet also sweeter, like Spree candy, for real. This was totally unexpected based off of the dark hazy amber-orange body, as I was expecting a more subdued, older school Midwest-style IPA maybe. The soft creamy off-white blanket leaves solid curtains on the glass, and further sips brings touches of woody pine and even smoke. It's very unusual overall, which in turn seems to be influencing an odd sequence in my review, as the full, round and frothy body comes to a semi-dry finish, exhaling herbs and even wheat.
