Copenhagen 20/1 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Something as strange as a Russian porter named after a British landmark. Drawing of a hand drawing the cathedral of Salisbury. Very meta.
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized, bubbly light beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense, roasted, sweet with bitter notes. Brown sugar, dark roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate. Giving dry bitterness.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, smooth texture. Lightly tingling.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter but a bit thin. Lingers for a short while. A bit strange with an English-inspired robust porter from Russia.
But a very decent take though a bit thin in flavor.
