Pours opaque dark brown with a small, bubbly, off-white head. Disappears almost completely after a few seconds. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sugary and laden with chocolate. Brown sugar, lactose, milk chocolate in abundance. A bit over the top. Light bitterness underneath.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is candy-like and sugary. Heavy sweet with only a rudimentary sourness. Aftertaste is sweet but fairly short. Finish is thin and sweet.
A bit too candy-like for my taste. A sweet stout is meant to be sweet - but they are overdoing it in my opinion.
