Summer is still going on outside, although according to the calendar it is already autumn, so our blueberry saison is the best way to continue enjoying the wonderful warm weather both in the countryside and on the numerous, still open summer verandas of pubs!

Copenhagen 8/4 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of a hand drawing a bundle of blueberries on the label. They call it a Sour dry-hopped saison on the label.
Pours hazy, pink-ish, amber orange with a white head with a faint pink hue. Settles as flimsy, thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fresh odor of forest berries meeting a lighter tart, sourness. Sweet blue berries and raspberries. Sugar. Sour citrus and tart berries peeking in.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is sharp and intense. Light sweetness followed by a strong, tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and lingers shortly. Finish is dry.
I would not call it a Saison but it certainly is sour and dry.
