A 500ml bottle with a BB of July 2015. Picked up recently from Trembling Madness in York. Another new local microbrewery - woohoo! This pale ale is described on the label as a hoppy, fruity session ale.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A bright, clear golden hue with good carbonation. Yields a smallish head of white foam that lasts for a minute or two before disappearing.
S: Aroma of fruity hop notes with hints of white grape, melon, grass/hay, mild citrus, light malt and faint ale yeast. Delicious.
T: Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with a crisp, dry finish. Notes of white grape, melon, grass/hay, subtle citrus, light malt, mild ale yeast and faint stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a sharp, hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with spritzy carbonation and light body. Mildly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, subtle bitterness and light malt.
O: Nice - a tasty little number. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are great; stuffed with white grape and melon. Body is light but OK for the style. Goes down all too easily - shame it's not bottle conditioned though otherwise lovely. Worth sampling if you come across it.
