Currents of auburn and light brown run through what is labeled an ipa, but surely by the end of the review you will see it has some ipa like tendencies, but also shares that in common with some other styles as well. About 1/2" of off white head and inconsistent lace patterns. Aroma was pretty much devoid of dry hopping, or almost any noticeable hop amount in any regard.
Taste brought out some of the hops that seemed like they were better situated as aroma hops. The malt tones rode heavy, like it was somewhere between a brown ale and a mild porter, wood notes. Some hops come out in the mouthfeel but it still seems to be in the neighborhood of balance and heftier malt/roasting that doesn't work for my desires too much.

A darker than usual appearance, some brown running up in it, an average amount of head, lace and retention. Interesting aroma, did not seem to be from dry hopping.
Taste, unique, it might even be the yeast, definitely seemed to have some amarillo hops though, which I haven't been exposed to that often in beers of this dark of a beer. Minimal amount of wood flavor, along with the good hoppiness that alternates pine and citrus (amarillo and unidentified I would imagine).
Beer was picked up cheap, either at Bottleworks or John's Market, can't remember, but I'd visit this bottle again, the price was right, there was nothing about it I didn't like, carved its own little niche out with the darker than average appearance and unique interplay with whatever they hopped this with.
