Poured a dark copper-amber with a finger of eggshell head. Mild aroma with biscuit, caramel, and just a touch of citrus.
Moderate carbonation and a full, creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is almost all malt -- big biscuit backbone with hints of toffee sweetness. Gentle hops on the tail end with some grapefruit and pine.
Coming after a double IPA I probably missed some of the subtler hop flavors here; nevertheless, the flavor profile seemed a little too malt-dominant. Still, a pleasant enough pale ale.
