On tap at the brewery/
Great medium amber color, clear with visible carbonation but little head formation or retention.
Served way too cold the malt aroma come through as it warmed.
Malt forward in flavor but timid, only hints of Munich / Vienna caramel malt notes.
Body is thin for style and sadly this bee offers no real character or richness I enjoy in a Marzen.
Good clean amber lager but not a good Oktoberfest.
I had a Sam Adams the other day that was significantly better IMHO.

On-tap at Blue Collar Brewery Inc., Poughkeepsie, NY
A: The beer is crystal clear copper in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that gradually died down and left a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of sweet toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of sweet toasted malts along with subtle bits of spiciness. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer isn't that bad of a representation of the style. I particularly liked the sweet flavors of toasted malts in the taste.
Serving type: on-tap

A: Pours a clear golden amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate copper colored highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy beige head that reduces to a small patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with light to moderate amounts of caramel sweetness. Light aromas of spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with light to moderate amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly heavier than light flavors of spicy hops which contribute a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a decent representation of the style. Enjoyable with a slightly more toasty flavor than some of the other examples I have sampled this year.
