A: Pours an opaque yet still clear black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of cola brown + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy tan head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering a little more than 80% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of roasted + caramel + dark malts with hints of caramel sweetness and light aromas of earthy hops. Hints of nutty aromas.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of roasted + caramel + dark malts as well as light flavors of nutty malts with a hint of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of earthy + herbal hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and flavorful.
