A: Pours a lightly hazy pale golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint pale yellow + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a medium to large patch of medium thick film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, herbal, and spicy hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of oat + pale malts with a very light amount of grainy sweetness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of oat + pale malts with a very light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of slightly juicy citrus/grapefruit and citrus/orange hops along with light flavors of herbal + spicy hops. The hops contribute a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable with a very pleasant hop profile that still allowed the oats to show through.

On-tap at Blue Collar Brewery Inc., Poughkeepsie, NY
A: The beer is relatively clear light yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface, a collar around the edge, and some lacing running down the sides.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—oranges and limes seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of citrusy hops with a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has nice aromas and flavors of citrus. I particularly liked the blend of oranges and limes.

Blue Collar Brewery Inc. "Unfiltered Oat IPA"
on tap at the brewery on 1 September 2018
Notes: Listed at 50 IBUs. Amarillo and El Dorado hops. Cloudy golden body beneath a finger-thick head of white foam. Excellent head retention and lacing. Noticeable but not bold citrusy aroma that's mainly made up of orange. The flavor follows. It's a little juicy, and the oat flavor comes through nicely. There's also a touch of spiciness to it; I'm not sure if that's from hops or alcohol, but at 6% I wouldn't imagine that it's the alcohol. Quite enjoyable.
