Very cool, low key craft beer bar. A few steps below street level. Not loud. 1 TV. 24 rotating taps with an interesting variety of styles. (Note to self... look-up Patersbier). Food choices limited to toaster oven pizzas and pretzels.

Charming place - good low key vibe. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Good snacks and a rotating selection of neat beers, some that are hard to find.

The wife and I were walking on 8th street when we spotted this cozy, subterranean beer joint- I remembered the space as the ill-fated Growler Station.
The new iteration is a lot cooler and warmer, a well-decorated bar with quality taps. Wood and candlelight galore and 24 draughts, including stuff from Evil Twin (Aun Mas Jesus), Alesmith (Yulesmith), Crooked Ladder, Jack’s Abby, De Proef+Trillium collab, Free Will… the printed menu also includes 24 taps “coming soon”, plus a couple of bottles.
They do flights and serve light fare (hummus platter, meatballs, sloppy joes). I dig this place a lot.

A nice reliable option in the area that always has a few beers at a reduced priced. With about 30 taps, they make sure there are a smattering not only of domestic lagers, stouts, and hazies, but some off-beat German options as well. Food is limited to some warms pretzels, but nothing wrong with that!

There's a warm and welcoming atmosphere at this subterranean 8th Street spot.
The décor is simple and straightforward: all dark wood and comfortable furnishings.
The staff is pretty knowledgeable, but extremely nice and helpful. Unlike at many other places in Manhattan, you don't feel like they're doing you a huge favor in taking the time to talk about your options.
The tap list is extensive, but in the times that I've been there in the past (granted it's been 4 months or so), there has never been a particularly exciting local option available, or a rare-r non-local option. For example, I've never seen OH on tap (although I'm sure it has been) when it's a fixture at Good Beer, Proletariat, Milk & Hops etc.
Good spot to take a friend or business acquaintance!

On 8th Street right next to Stumptown Coffee Roaster's Flagship NYC shop is a wonderful walk down shop that is starting to gain momentum. Unlike many popular beer slinging spots, Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor is a treasure.
Good ambiance, amazing hospitality, high and enthusiastic knowledge, great draft selection, and a staff dedicated to great beer, makes this a must stop destination.
Try the 6 flight with great conversation for a perfect night out.
