L: very dark, almost black; a glow of orange-brown around the edges; light brown head that went flat rather quick
S&T: very roasty, hint of semi-sweet rye bread; and a load of hoppy bitters
F: nice and thick. Minimum carbonation.

O: a little bit disappointing, not gonna lie. I'm a huge porter fan, and was hoping for more flavour for the abv it had. Most of the notes you're going to get is generic hop-bitters, and some roasted rye-like maltiness. Not very complex. But at the same time not a chugger either.
I don't recommend this one.

Dark colour with red tones to the light, medium off white head, long retention, creamy compact lace. Aroma of milk chocolate, coffee, licorice, ginger, dried fruits, spices. Medium to full body, creamy palate, strong carbonation. Spicy finish. Taste follows the aroma, ginger, coffee, milk chocolate, dried fruits. A really good and complex beer.

Sampled at de Biertuin in Amsterdam on 20SEP17. It was €4.95 for a 0.33l bottle.

This was another dark, dense opaque bier from Two Chefs. Had hardly any head, with most of the foam clinging to the edge of the glass with a wispy covering in the middle. Lacing was average at best. The nose had roasty action, but was quite mild. Body was a good medium. and there wasn't much in the way of prickle.

Tasted roasty, with some choco and a touch of molasses. Also had some ovaltine-like mocha notes, and some mild floral, earthy qualities in the finish. Solid, though a bit less than expected from reading the brewers website notes. Prosit!

Poured from a bottle into a wheat beer glass. The liquid is a super dark almost-black mahogany and the pour produces a solid thick tan head that lasts for several minutes and leaves lots of thick, sticky lace.

Aroma is mega-malty - I get caramel and burnt marshmallow on top of a swirl of dark liquored fruit. There's just the slightest touch of alcohol burn.

Taste showcases the dark fruit that was more of an undertone on the nose. Caramel comes in mid-palate with a bit of roasty, almost smoky bitterness. Swallow is fairly bitter, and the aftertaste comes back thickly with dark fruit and the perfect touch of booziness. It doesn't burn your nose, but you get that nice flavor.

Mouthfeel is a bit light for such a full-flavored beer - it has the body of a porter with the flavor of an imperial stout. Liquid is pleasantly milky, with prickly carbonation to keep it from being too sticky.

Overall - wonderful beer. Definitely my favorite Amsterdam beer I've tried!

Bottled
Pours a jet black body with big off white head
Coffee aromas
Blackcurrant fruitiness and then some muted bitterness
Doesn't seem to be the big abv
Not terrible just not much of anything

Dark in the glass with some thin lacing. A small head soon dissipates. The nose hints at sweetness with a good hop balance. There is coffee there but it is subtle. Not much smoke though. The taste is pleasant, with the sweetness soon overtaken by a good hop kick. Perhaps more like a stout, although there is debate about the difference between the styles. The finish is long and bitter. A beer that does not taste like an percenter and very pleasant too.

33cl bottle. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Smells of roasted malts, smoke, caramel. The roaste malts and caramel taste dominates, alongside notes of milk chocolate and cold coffee. More towards an oatmeal stout than a baltic porter.
