Enjoyed on 20SEP17 at de Biertuin in Amsterdam, a 0.33l lightened my wallet by €4.95.
It was a very dark, dense, opaque brew. Had no head, even with a hard pour, just mainly rim bubbles. Had a mild nose with roasty notes and some dark fruit. Body was medium, and it was fairly smooth, though I thought it could/should be fuller.
Taste has some dark choco and cocoa, plus a bit of dark fruit (raisins, currants). It also had some solid floral hopping; really big time action, which was quite tasty. Finished with the some choco notes lingering. A nice, pleasant RIS! Prosit!

L - black, barely any head, tan
S & T - roast malt, dark coffee, barely any dark chocolate, barely any smokiness, but a really, really pine-y hoppiness upfront. Quite nice.
F - solid mouthfeel, and not much else to note.
O - the description said 'like walking through a pine forest', and this is definitely true. Worth a try!
I do recommend this one.

Pours a. Very dark brown with a large khaki head that suggests high carbonation and leaves a good amount of sticky lace. Nose is dark burnt malt with some sweetness, along with touches of leather and tobacco. Flavor brings on the flavor of coffee left too long on the burner, a bit of bitter chocolate, and more of the notes in the nose. Mouthfeel is full, but could be improved with less carbonation. Overall, a great beer that I'm guessing (from the other reviews) has improved in the cellar over the past 18 months.
