Served on tap in a 16 oz (473 ml) shaker pint at Growlers in Tuckahoe, NY.
A: Pours an opaque, more amber than golden color (think brass) with a one finger, fluffy, off-white head, at least a half finger of retention and sticky rings of lacing.
S: Tangy. Aromas of pineapple , guava, lemon, barley grain, and caramel most evident.
T: Sweet to semisweet. The palate basically follows the nose with the lemon, caramel, and grain more evident. Relatively modest bitterness, but by no means absent.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Must have a double dose of oats, as very creamy.
O: A delicious, highly quaffable saison..
