This is dry-hopped heavily with Citra and Mosaic hops and is a little marvel. It's alive with flavor and body that surprises given its alcohol percentage. The name - well, we as a town and county rely so much on folks who come to explore and experience the area: campers, fishers and week-enders.. a Grass Wagon is railroad vernacular for sight-seers packed into a passenger car to view the scenery and absorb the visual beauty of this place that we call home.

At 4.9% this just isn't an IPA and barely a pale ale.
Pale, cloudy yellow, wispy white head.
Hop fruit cup aroma - citrus and pineapple in syrup.
Flavor is mildly sweet with good hop bitterness and not too fruity.
Body is light and finish is abrupt and dry.

Pours a hazy pale cream orange with a finger of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with plenty of lacing. Aroma of citrus and lemongrass. Taste follows nose. Light and juicy.

really good light hazy, juicy with a subtle lemongrass touch, but that's plus not a minus. I would go back for this one any summer day, really solid offering from the NY brewery.

This was the first beer that I picked up at the Whole Foods in Williamsburg, as I had never been there before. Given the amount of alcohol in this and it's easygoing nature, I'd almost categorize this as an American Pale Ale since it was so laid-back and summery, while still having just enough body and hops to it to be rounded out!
Quite a light, goldenrod hue to this beer as it was topped off with a nice head that slowly and quietly subsided, although it never fully went away. Lovely rings of lacing were left behind they were deep and well-defined all the way down. Lots of grass, lime, and light, pithy tropical fruit in the nose as the taste had some mango, citrus pith, and chalkiness to it with a lively carbonation and a hint of exotic fruit to keep things from feeling too heavy. Some slickness lingered on the palate as this almost felt like it had Saaz in it, to go along with the soft Citra and Mosaic that were in good proportion.
Hardly any alcohol to be had here as this was a textbook definition of a session beer. The malt was basic and unfortunately, there wasn't a date to be found anywhere as this still felt fresh and lively. A shot of water was needed to fully get this down but otherwise, this had me yearning for summer and warmer days outside. That was all the proof needed that this was a year-round beer fit for all wagons of all sorts.

A: The beer is very hazy and somewhat pale dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lime, lychee and mango are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of mango. There is a light amount of carbonation.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this IPA to be quite flavorful for a beer that isn't that high in abv.
