Barkaboom is a 5.8% Oktoberfest Marzen. This beer is brewed with traditional malts from Munich. It pours an alluring amber color with a generous amount of head. It is medium bodied and carries a good lacing around the glass. The aromatics greet you with a fresh malty sweetness. Flavors of hazelnut, soft caramel and a hint of Vanilla come through upon first sip. It is the perfect malty beverage for the cool autumn days.

This one pours a dark-ish amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells nutty, with some caramel malt and a touch of floral hops.
This is pretty solid, with a creamy and full maltiness, with just a little bit of spicy and floral bitterness.
This is light bodied and very drinkable, with a nice smooth finish.
This was one of the better versions of the style I had this summer, and I certainly had a lot of them.

A: The beer is crystal clear and a mix of golden yellow and amber hues. It has a moderate amount of visible carbonation and poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left a narrow collar around the edge, a patch of bubbles on the surface and some specks of bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of toasted malts along with associated hints of sweetness and finishes with notes of spicy hops.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and clean on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer had just enough in the way of hops to provide some spicy flavors and also prevent the malty flavors from being overly sweet.

A: Amber-ruddy light brown, quite clear. White foam head, modest retention.
S: Caramel hazelnut bonbons, touch of cocoa, dark cherry/fruit.
M: Very well carbonated, spritziness counters malty sweet.
T: Soft herbal notes...vanilla and caramel, nutty. Not a great amount of depth...a colder, late autumn type of marzen. The caramel is a bit too forward, but it mellows into more of a maillard type toast on the finish.
