This year round selection more commonly known as a Black IPA is one of our personal favorites. Your tastes buds will definitely thank you as you experience the complexity of 2 row, vienna, select dark roasted specialty and chocolate malts. We selected Chinook, Citra, Amarillo and Cascade hops to give it that classic pacific northwest flavor and aroma where this style originated.

Taste: crisp fresh hops meets smoked dark malts, salty notes. Nutty grainy earthy malt nose. Black, mostly opaque, nice webbed lattice of lace. Medium to light body. 75 IBUs

On tap at the brewery. Look is pitch black, little head. Smell is minimal, roasty malts. Taste is all brewed black coffee up front, malty sweet finish. I can't pick up the C hops that are billed, but the hop bitterness does balance the dark malt. The hops don't punch up front but they do longer a bit. Overall a very solid offering

Dark as night and just as bitter. A little too bitter on the aftertaste.
