I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: rich, muddy dark brown hue, nearing black. There's a nice finger of tan foam as well; it's attractive.
Smell: sweet with a dash of fruitiness that I can only describe as acetoney. I don't really get much chocolate, but it's OK.
Taste: sweet and fruity with a little hit of that same acetone fruitiness. No chocolate; a little tiny roastiness is present but it's not really stouty.
Mouthfeel: medium body with an OK carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's not the worst thing in the world, but I can't recommend it.
