Not too bad representation of a Belgian dubbel. Not much in the way of drak fruit flavors. A little weaker and more effervescent than expected. However a decent drink.

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 18C). Bottle 33cl - Batch 01-14. AROMA: nice sweet aroma with caramel, malt, some clove. Hop aromas absent or very faint. APPEARANCE: redish copper and hazy. large ivory head with good retention. TASTE: sweet caramel and malt like flavours. medium bitterness that doesnt linger. balance towards the malt. PALATE: medium body with a bit excessive carbonation. smooth low alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a nice craft belgian dubbel with a bit extra carbonation.

A: Foam slightly beige, with a brown opaque body. There's no lacing.
S: Alcoholic, sweetness from the malt and you can feel the belgian yeast in the smell.
T: Belgian yeast, well balanced flavors between citric notes with a malty tone being more expressive than you'd normally expect. Pretty hoppy in the end. Also more than usual for a dubbel.
M: Quite good not to say impressive.
O: Everything was good. Most of the things you don't find in a typical dubbel that I've found here are subtle good changes. The aspect was the only thing that was not as good as expected. But, personally, the aspect is never a turn off. Only a turn on. Very nice indeed.
