Pours a slighty hazy orange, small white head leaves a nicely laced glass. Slight citrus aroma, and some piney hops. Taste has a hint of grass, pine and citrus rind. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. this is a one and done.

Slightly cloudy amber color. Smells a bit musty. Taste is largely dominated by the bitterness of the hops with some mild tartness as an undertone. Okay to try, probably won't buy it again.

Canned on 1/12/16
Bright pale orange, sharp clarity, a couple fingers of foam that recede to a patchy surface skim. Random spotty lace. Aroma is bland, caramel malt, earthy hop and orange peel.
Taste is a little better, earthy hops dominate, dry bitterness lingers into the aftertaste.
The feel is light and drinkable, but not much stands out here. Description on the can says very little about the actual beer, instead you get paragraphs of marketing jargon. Can't say i'll look for this again.

Aroma is floral hops, fruit, mildly funky and very slightly perfumed sweetness. The flavor is citrus, fruit, hop candy, malts in the background and a dryish/mildly bitter finish.

12oz can, no apparent freshness date
A - nice creamy ivory colored head caps a nearly opaque amber colored ale
S - zesty orange and grapefruit nose with caramel malt and bread crust
T - juicy and zesty hops with notes of orange zest, grapefruit zest, mango, pine and a light malt backbone of caramel and bread
M - thinner than medium for body, moderate carbonation, finishes bitter with some spicy & zesty hop oils sticking to the palate
O - nice tasting and easy to drink. Body is lighter than I'd like, but that happens with these "Session IPA's". Good to try it but I'll pass on it next time.

12 oz can. Pours hazy light amber with thick fluffy head that lasts a long time, little lace. Not much aroma, some mild citrus. The taste is hop forward with some sharp grapefruit peel that turns into a piney grassy finish. The grass stays in the back of the mouth well after the swallow. Medium soft mouthfeel. Overall decent session IPA with sharp hops.

On tap at the taproom. Billed as a "massively hopped" session IPA--overall I enjoyed my visit to the Crystal Lake Brewing Company, but they really need to get someone else to write their ad copy.
Pours APA orange with a decent white head. Smells crisp and verdant with none of the selztery nodes present in lots of session IPAs. Centennial and bread. Nothing too fancy, but firm and nicely balanced.
Tastes like it smells: straightforward, nothing fancy, but it gets points for avoiding the pitfalls common to the style. The hops are aggressive and they blot out the malt profile, but that's what you get with a highly hopped session beer.

This is now a session IPA - the original "full-bodied" version was much better.
