Pours a clear reddish brown with a small off white head, aroma of bread, honey and some mild hops. Flavors are similar and subtle. A bit thin but otherwise solid!

6-pack of 12 ounce cans purchased locally, canned 08-27-20 ink-jetted on the can's collar. Poured into my tall Becher.
L -- Clear, deep gold with a dense, off-white head that holds up well.
S -- DMS to sulfury nose. Sweetish, bready notes and peppery alcohol with warming.
T -- Light, spicy hops up front with mellow,grainy-crackery to lightly sweet and doughy malt notes in the middle and finish. The sweetness is verging on caramel, but not quite. Melanoidin in an American version? Aftertaste is bitter and herbal hops keeping the sweetness in check.
M -- Mouthfeel is soft to dry with a medium body.
O -- Not a bad American take on the style at all. Maybe my favorite domestic version in a long time. Yeah, even better than SN or Bell's this year. Need another 6-pack before the season is over.

Dark amber clear body with a fluffy white head that settled into a ring. Smell is bready, with some toast too, as well as toasted caramel, and earth. Tastes like toast with hint of earth and dull caramel, a touch of herbal hops too, solid. Feel is medium in almost every way yet bready and has some hop zip on the finish. Excited to try more from crystal lake in the future. The wife liked it
