Served from nitro tap in a cervoise at the tap room.
Finishing up my first visit to the brewery with their seasonal Irish stout. It pours a matte black-brown topped by two fingers of cream foam. The nose comprises burnt pretzel, light roasted malts, and a twinge of cocoa powder. The taste holds notes of roasted malts, vague chocolate and coffee, and a touch of very mild fruit on occasion. The body is a lithe medium, with a nice nitrogenation and a subsequently velvety feel. Overall, a nice Irish stout, nothing earth-shattering, but definitely something eminently quaffable.
