Welcome spring with this delicious lager. Hints of honey and spice greet the senses. Warm malty flavors glide over your palate with a bit of Germanic sweetness, while a balancing bitterness brings this traditional lager into perfect harmony. Prost!

A return in the "Premium Lager Series." Canned on 4-21-22. Poured into my tall Becher.
L -- Rather hazy, deep gold with a dense, firm, cream-colored head that holds up well.
S -- Doughy, bready malts with some slight DMS and mild, herbal hops.
T -- Doughy malts with a light astringency and lightly harsh herbal hops. Finishes smoother with warming; sweetish bready malts and a balancing herbal bitterness.
F -- Mouthfeel is soft to dry with a medium to light-robust body.
O -- The initial astringency and somewhat over attenuated harshness mellow with warming. While a little drier than the typical Maibock, this one is pretty enjoyable.

Bright golden hue, nice head, no lacing. Boogar machine gets some honey and sweet malts. Medium bodied, not much carbonation. I thought the beer was better than the sum of its parts.

Had on tap. Clear golden body with a tiny white cap and lacing. Honey, white bread, light biscuit, big buttery malt, grains with hints of earthy spices in both the smell and taste. More bready and malty for the style, missing the botanical feel, but quenching on a warm summer evening on the patio.

Tasted in pint glass from draught at Firkin on May 27, 2016. Look is gold with a white head and sticky lacing. Smell is malt forward with some honey blossom and spice aromas. Taste is malty and also features honey and spice flavors. Feel is medium in body with smooth and creamy finish.

L- full golden, leans toward light amber.
S- honey; malty sweetness. no hop aroma.
T- malt, malt, malt; honey and ripe berries.
F- medium.
Finishes pretty clean, considering; no hoppiness to speak of, but obvious there must be some at 22 IBU.
O- Worth the $16 for a growler. one of the better maibocks I've had recently.
