This beer is DELICIOUS! Aging our Backflip in a red wine barrel brought out incredible characteristics in this beer. The nose has the delicate aroma of nectarine along with a hints of orange and coriander. It is very soft on the palate with a creamy touch of coconut and vanilla shining through. The finish smooth with a slight touch of wine-like tannin rounding out the sweetness.

Had on tap. I really enjoyed the taste of the orignal and this was no exception as the barrel adds some sangria like wine and general fruitiness to the orange and coriander that was already present, but never gets hot or loses the wheat backbone, get some residual pear and lemon too as it warms. Smell is more vinous and wheat driven, fruit is there but not as full as the taste. Cloudy yellow pour with a two fingers of white foam. Body is more filled out with the barrel, but wheat stays strong, moderately crisp and full. Great for early summer/late spring on the patio
