For something truly extraordinary, we blended this year’s exceptional rye and bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, then added fresh mixed berries, cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. Smooth and rich with dark chocolate and ripe berry notes throughout, this beer brings layers of toasted oak, bourbon and rye whiskeys, and well-rounded creamy vanilla and smoky coffee characteristics to create an intense taste experience.

Pitch black body with brown collar. Smell is great with jammy berries, dark chocolate, bourbon barrel, and subtle char. Taste is not as dynamic with splintered wood and berries leading, before bourbon, licorice and dark chocolate shavings wield char and earth to finish, but never bonds in a cohesive fashion. Feel is sharp with the barrel and then malty with limited berry tartness. Lighter and drinkable, but not a ton of depth of texture either. I have enjoyed other variations more

Almost black, light doesn't penetrate, brown head fades quickly. Aroma was wine-like, berries, vanilla, cocoa and barrel are almost background aromas. Flavors are fruit forward also. This was thin when compared to the two beers blended for the base. I'm a fan of the brewery, their barrel program is top notch. I didn't think I'd like this because of all the added junk.
