Poured out of a 12 oz. can into one of my pokal glasses, this beer pours a pretty clear, just very slightly cloudy/hazy with a white fluffy head that's about an inch thick when first poured with several streams of little bubbles continuously and fairly rapidly rising to the beer's surface. Head settles to a film layer of foam that covers almost all of the beer's surface along with a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass. Aromas of crisp, bready malts along with an earthy, sort of grainy and herbal hop presence. Has a bready, crisp, grainy malt presence with a slight sweetness followed by an earthy, herbal hop presence with a slightly citrusy and mild hop bitterness. Good balance of flavors. I'd say the flavor profile is spot on for the style indeed while also managing to stand out a bit from other beers of this style. Has a pretty crisp, yet also somewhat smooth and slightly frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has an extremely smooth and clean finish and is quite easy to drink in the way well crafted beer of this style ought to be. This really is hitting the spot on this hot summer night here in Cleveland.

12oz can. No dating information found.
Clear, pale gold colored body. One thin finger of white head. Leaves a few spots and trails of lacing.
Aroma is toasted malts and floral/fruity hops.
Taste follows the nose, with toasted bread crust malts and fruity/floral hops, with a touch of sulfur. All continue in the aftertaste.
On the lighter side of medium for mouth feel. Crisp and clean on the palate. Very good carbonation.
Very easy to drink, with a clean and refreshing experience.

It would be nice if 10 plus six packs of this beer or some of their others didn't have cans falling out because they're not sealed tightly enough. Anyways the beer itself is actually decent and acceptable. Won't be having it again as there's 9000 pilsners out there comparable or better but overall a decent beer.

Extremely good flavor, smell, and feel. This "palesner" is very good quality for a decent price. A hoppy taste, but not overbearing. A good choice for any occasion. Highly recommended.

A German esq beer that carries a stronger malt taste for a light beer. Even with the lightness, hops effectively balance this beer leaving you with that slight pale ale dryness at the end. More German-Belgium-ness shows through with a hint of yeasty esters lingering throughout. Well balanaced, easy drinking bier.

Nice lasting, thick and creamy white head; body is a soft golden amber, a bit cloudy. Faint but agreeable citrus aroma with an element of sweet malt grain. Very mild biscuit flavor with some tangy citrus notes; low to moderate hop bitterness. Medium body; soft on the palate; semi-dry.

This go around comes across fuller, rounder, and more balanced overall. Pleasant and unassuming in nature; an easy drinker.

--------------
Original review notes:

Light gold body; lively carbonation with a somewhat thin yet sticky head. Aroma of low-key orange and other indeterminate citrus. Some light grain flavor with a slow developing ester-like sweetness; a note of citrus and spiciness; bitterness is also subtle. Medium bodied; mildly prickly on the palate; semi-sweet finish.

This is a tough one to evaluate. Based purely on its own appeal, it's so-so. Then again, evaluating it along the lines of a pilsner or pale ale also brings a so-so leanings. Well, perhaps it isn't so difficult. An interesting hybrid but with so-so results. 'Nuff said...
