Thanks to blacknyellow20 for this extra, a 12 oz. can that looks like it was actually designed, which isn’t so common in our little sandbox.
The pour is burnt umber, big carbonation, with a smattering of chunks slowly drifting to the bottom of the glass. Suspended yeast? Dandruff? Bits of cherimoya? What the hell is cherimoya, anyways? Be right back…the nose is like agave nectar, no twist. Interesting.
The Cherimoya Project – Kaffir Lime has gimmick written all over it. Unheard of fruit? Yeah, let’s pitch that into the wort! Fortunately, & rather surprisingly, the beer caught me off guard with the first sip of tastiness. The weird C-fruit still resembles agave to me, & the lime is just present enough for my tongue to probe. Post-fruit is crushed grain, ghostly yeast, moderate bitterness, & an almost mixed drink finish (& I haven’t had anything with a lime stuck to the lip of the glass in years). Dry & suckable, I’m going to wipe this twelve out in a hurry.
I love surprises, especially good ones. A gimmick? Nah, just an excellent brew.

12oz can poured into a pint glass
A: Hazy orange-ish brown with a 1.5 finger creamy head that lingers
S: Kaffir lime, cherimoya fruit (which I have tasted) and malt. Also a distinct rubber note which is a bit odd
T: Malt, citrus rind, cherimoya fruit
M: Fairly light, bone dry
O: A unique take on a pale ale with some unique aromas and flavors. I like it but can't say I love it

12 oz can. Pours hazy abmer, thick pillowy off white head with great retention, leaves soapy lace. Mostly tropical fruit in the aroma, a little grass and malt too. Decently balanced brew with caramel malt backbone, but bitterness takes over quickly, mostly a grassy bitterness, faded citrus, guessing that's the lime. The bitter lasts but overall the brew has a sorta watered down flavor. Thin mouthfeel.

12oz can. No date. Served in a snifter glass.
Medium copper body, on the darker side, two finger offwhite head with long retention, good lacing and collar. Smells of sweet caramel, a bit of grainy sweetness, floral and pine aromas, mild bit of citrus. Flavour is similar; a relatively non-descript caramel sweetness, touch of grain, citrus zest, bit floral, not much pine resin, clean but non-descript bitterness. Not bad, decent flavour profile, but a bit non-descript, even bland. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, crisp, refreshing, not too dry, slight resin and cereal sweetness on the finish.

12oz can poured into a Lagunitas mason jar.
Pours a dark orange color with a decent head that leaves cobwebs of sticky lacing around the glass.
Smell of lime, breads malt and grass. A bit odd but not off putting.
Taste mimics the nose. Very well balanced and uniquely tasty. Love the grassy lime mix. It works well. Alcohol goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is nice. Moderate carbonation provides a soft, easy drinking brew. Goes down easily.
I am impressed. I grabbed a six pack on a whim and glad I did. I could crush a lot of these on a hot summers day. Recommended.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy burnt golden with a fluffy white head that sticks around leaving great retention and very sticky lacing. The aromas have some bready malts along with some hints of citrus. It's slightly floral as well. The flavors are full of citrus. Lots of grapefruit along with some lemon and lime. There's some fresh grass in the mix as well. Some pine as well. The malts are there to balance out the bitterness. Alcohol goes unnoticed. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very creamy and fluffy. Smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid brew. The lime notes come through.
