A wonderful smelling beer with intermingling citrus notes of grapefruit, orange, and some spice. However, taste is completed dominated by bitter, acidic grapefruit. No complexity, difficult to drink.

12 oz can from Heinins for $2. This is pretty gross. Perhaps it's a bit old? Pretty much no redeeming qualities. Nice head retention - glass to dump in just a couple mins though...

This is the winner of the "Bragging Rights Homebrew Competition". Greg Irving was the winner. The hop bill is Wai-iti, Citra, Columbus and Ella. Rye, oats and rice was added.
12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy and cloudy yellow-orange with some sediment floating around; fluffy eggshell white head that falls leaving great retention and solid lacing. The aromas have a nice blend between tropical and citrus notes. It has some rubber aromas. Malts are there, but the hop aromas shine. The flavors are pretty juicy. Lots of orange juice along with some grapefruit juice. Solid bitterness. The rye is there giving this one a subtle spiciness in the finish. Malts do their thing but don't overwhelm at all. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, creamy and smooth. Very easy to drink.
This is a very nice IPA. It's possibly the best IPA that Platform has canned to date, in my opinion. Props to Greg Irving.
