A pleasant, somewhat muted pale ale.
Darker than I expected, the beer really needs to be concentrated to get the nose. Enclosed---i.e., in the can---it's like sniffing a package of hop pellets (albeit from a few feet away). In the glass, it barely registers, and almost smells more like a citrusy white wine. The taste is pretty good, with some balanced citrus and hop-forward flavor, along with this lingering toasty (almost burnt, but not quite) backdrop that seems to be characteristic of Platform beers.
Easy to drink, low-to-mid ABV, and perhaps one of the few beers that's better out of the can than out of the glass.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a dark golden/light amber with nice clarity; fluffy white head that slowly falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are nice. Lots of citrus along with some caramel malts. Orange is there with some subtle hints of vanilla. The flavors basically follow the nose. Lots of orange with some hints of lemon. Really nice orange flavors. Some floral notes in the mix. The malts definitely do their thing, but don't diminish the hop flavors. Solid bitterness with a nice sweetness. Bittersweet. Slightly juicy. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's light with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, creamy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a nice pale ale. It's not too flashy, but there's something highly enjoyable about it. Well done.
