Clear yellow-orange. Minimal head that leaves little lacing. Sweet fruit smell and taste. Pineapple, honeydew and melon. Just enough bittering hop presence to balance. Somewhat unique and tasty. My biggest knock against is the low carbonation. Still quite pleasing. A bit incomplete but I would certainly not turn another away.

This beer surprises me. It's tropical, fruity and inviting beyond what I'd expect.
The beer pours an opaque, hazy orange, with a respectable white head. The lacing is slow and sticky, with a significant coating on the glass. How does the beer taste? It opens with orange, smacking the palate with a fresh, orange flavor. It's really incredible. The palate gets washed with the orange flavor, and then it fades.
After, you get the bitter, pithy hops. It somehow opens the palate to the next sip. It makes you so grateful for the sweet citrus that you almost forget that the beer will smack you with a cascade and amarillo hop punch.
Overall, this beer offers an beautiful balance. it drinks smooth, almost like a New England IPA. But it has enough funk and bitterness to keep West Coast folks happy. That's a tough balancing act, and this beer meets it.

This is part of their "Small Batch IPA Series". Canned on 8/3/17. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy and cloudy golden; fluffy white head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have hints of cracker, melon and watermelon. Some fresh grass. Malts are there. It smells fine, but the aromas aren't intense or anything that stands out. The flavors follow the nose, but are much bolder. More watermelon leading the way. Some cantaloupe and mango in the mix. Mild hints of grapefruit, but this seems to be more on the tropical side. More fresh grass along with some subtle hints of pine. Moderate sweetness along with a moderate bitterness. Balanced. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very fluffy and slightly creamy. Smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid IPA. There are definitely some Platform IPAs that I personally enjoy more than this one, but it's not bad at all.
