Collaboration with Terrestrial Brewing Company. Canned on 4/24/18. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and solid lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of cocoa and marshmallow. Some mild floral notes. The flavors are bolder than the nose might indicate. It's slightly sweet, but nothing cloying or over the top. Some roasted characteristics are there. Subtle hints of coffee. Chocolate is there. Nice malt backbone. Mild and subtle warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. The alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's smooth, velvety and creamy. Dangerously drinkable.
This is a solid Imperial Stout. Nice bold flavors. It's not flashy, but it's well executed. It's enjoyable and fun to drink. I like it.
