This Session IPA features tangerine zest and a relatively new to the scene American hop varietal, Cashmere. This hop contributes bright melon and ripe peach aromas while packing flavors of ruby red grapefruit and tropical soursop. These bursting-at-the seams tropical and stone fruit flavors are packaged into a light approachable, yet, simply balanced body.

12 ounce can into pint glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, watermelon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light coconut/peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted bread, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit malty/muddy, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, tangerine zest, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, watermelon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light coconut/peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted bread, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, watermelon, berry, citrus peel/rind, coconut, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted bread, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, tangerine zest, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, fairly crisp, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a very nice session IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, tangerine zest, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink; with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Cashmere showcase; with added Galena, El Dorado, and Centennial. Great juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop/zest complexity; with a great bready pale/Munich malt backbone for the low ABV. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made session style example as expected.

A: The beer is relatively clear amber yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly settled down, leaving a thin collar around the edge, of the glass, lacing on the surface, and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of stone fruit and cantaloupe melons are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that he flavors of cantaloupe melons are just a bit stronger. There is only a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is perfectly sessionable and has an interesting mix of tropical flavors from the melons and stone fruit.

I got a six pack of this from my local meijer. It poured a clear copper with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tart citrus at the front that turn slightly bitter toward the end. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
