Our newest collaboration with GV Art, this Red Ale is Cleveland through and through: classic, but with a modern twist. Dark magenta in color, with a medium body and a strong caramel malty back bone. Notes of caramelized dark cherry and toasty honey fig with a touch of citrusy hops up front. Finishes smooth with just enough crisp, hoppy bite to remind you that Cleveland winter is on its way.

I bought a 6pck of this from the beer store just around the corner. It poured a clear amber with white head that is leaving some lace. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with caramel toasted malt base and slight bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/12/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready/light roasted malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready/light roasted malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. No warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent American amber ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready/light roasted malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Awesome balance of vibrant, dank, and earthy Chinook hops; with great nicely rich well rounded malt complexity. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
