A Juicy Brut IPA packed with notes of pineapple, orange, peach, and mango—just in time for Spring. Two worlds collide with this Brut-style IPA that meets juicy New England. This bright and bubbly beer exhibits notes of pineapple mango juice, candied peach and orange compote. The dry body acts as the perfect backdrop for these juicy hops to mellow out with the bright effervescence.

12 oz can

Pours slightly hazy lemon golden. Fluffy white head retains as suds.

Aroma of cereal and lemongrass. Mild dry hop finish.

Flavor is of cereal, dry bread, hint of citrus, and a mild dry hop undertone.

Light body, light tingly carbonation.

Pretty decent session beer. Nothing special but I would drink it again.

My first brut style IPA, and it really is different from anything I've had before. My can poured with a huge foamy head that reduced to about 3/8 inch. The smell was not strong, the flavor was not strong. But I got the whole "brut" experience of fruity, yet not sweet, but not bitter. The alcohol content doesn't seem assertive, either. I understand the descriptions of these IPAs being very drinkable- in my case it was partly fascination of the new. As I got to the bottom of my glass I could see some white precipitant in there. And when I finished my glass, that head of foam was still in place. Also left foam in stripes around the glass- this head was determined to stay! I might try this one again- but I am eager to try other examples, too.

Since this is a Brut, it starts off much less aggressive than a highly hopped IPA, but as you continue to drink that familiar IPA quality presents itself. It does this without being overwhelming and with hints of various types of fruit. I noted flavors of orange and citrus and gold currants. It came across crisp and full bodied.

I've liked everything I've tried of this style, and this one is no exception. I remembered it as being better from a previous drinking, but that may be because when you drink one of this style after anything else it is quite refreshing.

It pours a lovely yellow with soft, creamy head. The aroma is weak but pleasant. The same goes for the taste - it is not going to wow you, but it is going to refresh you with easy-drinking goodness.

Recommended.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/26/2019. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blackberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blackberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blackberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.4%. Overall this is an excellent Brut IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; amazingly soft feel, and not aggressive. Awesome Chinook, Citra, Callista profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great clean balancing pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

A: The beer is relatively clear light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that left a large, thin patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some specks of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of orange citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of mangos and peaches along with hints of pineapple. A slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, slightly juicy and a little dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The dryness becomes a little stronger as the beer warms up.
O: I found this beer to be interesting as it is almost like a hybrid between a New England IPA and a Brut IPA. It is easy to drink.

Canned on 2/19/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a pale yellowish golden with a subtle haze; small eggshell white head that fades leaving nice retention and decent lacing. The aromas are on the tropical side along with some hints of citrus. Lots of crackers. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. Some peach, mango, lemon and grapefruit. More crackers along with some fresh bread. Some fresh grass in the mix. Nice hop flavors. Moderate to low bitterness. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with active carbonation. It's sharp, slightly fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a pretty solid brew. It's clean and refreshing. Nice hop flavors. It's enjoyable and fun to drink. I like it, but it's not really what I've come to expect from the new "Brut IPA" style. It has zero "champagne" qualities.
