Dark chocolate and cocoa collide with mounds of bright sweet banana to create this decadent Berliner-style Weisse.

So I am going to start this simple. Fuck you platform!
Going in with cocoa and banana flavors with the Berliner Weisse style is bullshit. You expect sour lemon and wheat flavors with the style but to add banana flavors and chocolate flavors is ludicrous. Sour lemon and maybe banana while not offensive are FUCKED! Sour all the way! DO NOT call a beer choco banana doughnut and do this!

Thanks to Treebute for this 16 oz. can, arriving recently as an extra. And I’ll admit it. I’m scared.

When something says chocolate & it comes out golden, it always makes my scrotum tighten a bit. Aroma is true to the name: banana, chocolate, with a dash of lemon.

Choco Banana Donut isn’t quite as odd as it sounds. The chocolate & banana is right up front, cut only very mildly with tartness. Crisp, but more pastry that I’d like to have in an easy drinking, warm weather beer.

More tartness to cut the sweetness would have been welcome, & might have pushed this up the scale. As is, just decent.

Hazy golden orange with a fuzzy beige head quickly settling to a bubbly uneven film.

If you didn't read the label, then the tartness will come as a shock to you. It's a lemony orange and green apple tartness that gives slight way to a cakey donut like malt with hints of chocolate frosting and maybe some nuts.

The aroma is where the donut comes out more, like a fried one with a bit more earthiness, as well as lemony banana and chocolate cake.

The medium body is round with a tingly, crisp yet soft fizz finishing semi-wet, as the after taste gives a touch of banana candy.
