Canned on 5/2/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy, cloudy and murky yellowish golden; eggshell white head that falls leaving nice retention and lacing. The appearance is similar to a "New England IPA". The aromas have a nice amount of gin upfront along with some pineapple juice and coconut. Lots of lemon and lime as well. Citrus notes come through. Wheat and malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. Nice blend of lemon, lime, pineapple and coconut leading the way. The gin is balanced and accentuates everything perfectly. Some fresh grass. Wheat and malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed for the most part. Mouthfeel is on the fuller side of light-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's very fluffy, slightly creamy and smooth.
This is a really nice brew. It's pretty unique, and I mean that in a good way. The gin barrels really add a nice complexity to a style that isn't traditionally flashy. Nice aromas and flavors. It's ultimately refreshing and it's perfect for the warmer weather. Well done. I really like it.
