Welcome to the opening salvo in/of my Happy New I'm CANming Dahn Offa the Platform to Drink a Beer of My Own Free Will This Sunday (Week 764)! I have been diddling with Platform BC since Week 755 (8=O) & I am ready to finally put Kleveland in my rear-view. This is not animosity towards them for having been purchased by a larger CANcern, but simply a) I am tired of week after week of Platform beers & b) as a Pixburgh sports fan for over 45 years, I have NO love of Kleveland. Sorry.
From the CAN: "Hazy Brut India Pale Ale"; "Grains[:] Pilsner[,] White Wheat[,] Flaked Oats[,] Hops[:] Saphir[,] Triple Pearl[,] Yeast[:] Voss Kviek[,] Plato[:] 12.7[,] IBU[:] 19"; "Ohio Craft Beer".
Only19 IBUs? & a CANtradiction in terms in that a Brut IPA should resemble champagne, NOT be a hazebro! Any sign of haze will get it marked down while rating to style. 'Nuff said.
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug in the hopes of maintaining some form of clarity. Once it beCANe obvious that I was not going to be successful in this endeavor, I let if free-flow. This resulted in two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head with decent retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose smelled very citrusy, more lemony than grapefruit, with a biscuity maltiness. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was VERY tart, quite citrusy, more lemony than grapefruit, although grapefruit was totes evident. Mmm. Me likee! Finish was dry, citrusy & very refreshing. Mmm.

This is an exceptional ale. The fact that it is freaking exotic helps.
It pours yellow and hazy. It looks real, but unusual. The aroma is also a weird mix - it totally works. The taste is a confusing array of unexpected malty sensations. The aftertaste is a bit sharp and boozy, to remind you that this is an adult beverage.
Recommended.

Bright citrus hop notes, pours a murky gold with a thin white head. Full, rich, mouthfeel. The flavor is mildly sweet, with a bright hop note of lemon, finishes with an earthy mildly bitter finish. Overall, not a bad beer a strange combination of Brut and Hazy though.

This is a "Hazy Brut IPA". Canned on 6/19/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy and cloudy yellowish golden with a creamy white head that falls leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have some citrus, crackers, bread and malts. The flavors have a lots of grapefruit going on. Some white grape notes to give this one a subtle "white wine" vibe. Moderate sweetness. Moderate to low bitterness. Malts do their thing. Mild alcohol notes. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's extremely fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is an interesting and unique brew. It's definitely my first time having a "Hazy Brut IPA". I never even heard of one, but it's more or less what you would expect if you combined the two styles. This one might be slightly rough around the edges, but it's still ultimately enjoyable stuff. Not bad at all.
