This is a Red IPA, brewed by Doug Wiedemann, the winner of "bragging rights homebrew collaboration". It's also in collaboration with Heinen's.
12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy orangish amber; fluffy khaki head that falls leaving nice bubbly retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of mosaic hops. Tropical fruits coming through. Hints of caramel and toffee. Malts are there without dominating. The flavors follow the nose perfectly. More mosaic hops. Some pineapple coming through along with some hints of grapefruit. Some pine. More caramel and toffee. Once again, the malts do their thing without dominating. Moderate bitterness. Nice hop flavors. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
