Received as an extra in a trade. Canned on 10/10/19.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice dark brown almost black hue with a fat two finger head that faded relatively quick to leave a thin mocha blanket with little lacing.
S - Aromas of bakers chocolate, dark chocolate, cacao, vanilla extract without being overly sweet. Lactose is there. Flashing up front before disappearing to the end of the nose is an unmistakably almond aroma courtesy of those Prantl's almonds. Aromatic almonds and chocolate, the milk stout elements are more subtle though the dark chocolate malts are pleasant.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice dark chocolate and bakers chocolate up front, never gets chalky, vanilla flashes in and out nicely as well. Decent creamy lactose, thankfully it never trends towards the vein of cloyingly sweet milk/sweet stout. The almonds are pleasant and do not get aggressive or assertive, instead providing some well rounded nuttiness. Nothing really lingers aside from the dark malts.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little creamy, body is on the lighter side though. Comes across as a surprisingly thinner stout.
O - Overall this was a solid enough milk stout with no one element ever really getting carried away. There was a pleasant nuttiness that was clearly almond, however, I've definitely had more almond forward stouts before. While this was a good stout there was nothing that really stands our as remarkable.

Over the top vanilla. On tap at Industry Public House Robinson. Sweet and alcoholic. Not my favorite, but it's a decent dessert beer. Wouldn't mind having it again.
