Collaboration with Butcher and the Brewer for Cleveland Beer Week. Canned on 9/27/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours golden with solid clarity; fluffy white head that fades leaving solid retention and sticky lacing.
The aromas have a nice burst of citrus and tropical fruits. Some grapefruit and pineapple leading the way. Mild cracker notes. Some malts.
The flavors follow the nose. More grapefruit and pineapple leading the way once again. Subtle hints of caramel. Great hop flavors. Moderate bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Finishes dry. Alcohol is well hidden.
Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and slightly creamy. This one is ultimately dangerously drinkable.
This is a great DIPA. Great hop flavors. This is the kind of Imperial IPA that they might want to consider brewing again or making year-round. Well done.
