Newest and Hottest Beer Style in the Market: Cold IPA.
Brewed with a heavy amount of rice, making for a Clean, Crisp and Dry Finish. Cashmere, Citra and Calypso hops burst with the flavors of citrus: Tangerine, Mandarin, Clementine, Cara Cara, Valencia, and a citrus-lemon sweetness to the finish balancing out the bone-dry character.
Stronger than your average lager, and fermented colder than its Sun Surfer counterpart.

Objectively this one wasn't bad at all, small amount of nuance from the kumquat over a relatively average but solid ipa base. This was worth a try, I've had a lot of disdain towards Platform but no negative comments here at this time.

I got a 6pckof cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a clear copper with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with stone fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

I was in a good buying mood at the grocery store. I bought a few red wines - those will hang around for months. I wanted to pick a beer. This one won with my faith in special Platform offerings and a great name (I am an avid skier).
It pours a clear deep golden with minor fizz. The aroma is subdued hop with nothing much up front. The taste follows suit without much fanfare or anything to write home about. The "notes" advertised on the can are present in subtle ways. It has a nice smooth finish - fairly neutral.
Recommended. While this is not a flashy IPA it is a nicely made drink. I could drink more than one.

Canned on 1/14/22. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours golden with perfect clarity and transparency; small white head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing.
The aromas have a nice amount of citrus leading the way. Orange and tangerine comes through. Some crackers. Mild hints of caramel. Malts are there.
The flavors follow the nose. More orange and tangerine leading the way along with some grapefruit. Lots of citrus. Subtle tropical notes in the finish, especially coconut. More crackers and caramel in the mix. Moderate bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time, but on the drier side. Alcohol goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy and smooth.
This is a pretty solid IPA. It's clean, crisp and refreshing. Heavy citrus. It's definitely citrus forward. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done.

Pours a deep clear orange. Aroma is orange, orange zest. Syrupy mouthfeel to this. The profile is orange and tangerine. Never had a Kumquat, but I’m guessing they fall firmly in the citrus family. This is good, but slightly one note. Still, good beer.
