22 picked up at the brewery tonight... Pours hazed orange with 2 fingers of foamy white head... Nice drapes of lacing.. Eureka is a weird hop.. Sorta comes off a little as blueberries or black currants with a big branch of pine bows running down the middle.. Thick as expected for the ABV, but definitely not cloyingly sweet thankfully... Sturdy pale malt backbone is there mainly to be a hop delivery device... Big bitterness but not abrasive.. Surprisingly well balanced.... With a beer of this gravity, I never would have guessed it is wet-hopped, but instead just a well made DIPA. Very proper. For my personal palate, I always prefer DIPA's to be drier and not quite as viscous, but this is as good as many high ABV DIPA. Good job.
