Very enjoyable spiced ale. The spices aren't overdone, which is a problem I have with many spiced ales, rather they are used sparingly and are well balanced. The orange peel is very apparent, but the cinnamon and the coriander are detectable in traces. This makes the beer go down more like a winter warmer than a spiced holiday ale, which is fine with me. I enjoyed this and I would get it again.

Sidenote: There exists a Hoppy Holiday Ale which seems similar to this one, but I added a new one, since this is a 25th anniversary variation with Jack Joyce taking the place of Santa on the label and the ABV is higher than the listed Hoppy Holiday Ale as well. This version has also dropped the "Hoppy", in favor of "Spiced". Having not had the "Hoppy" version, I can't speak to the differences in versions.
