This is one of my favourite oatmeal stouts - wish it was still available. It has a very rich, thick flavour. Hugs the sides of the glass. Very dark, almost chocolatey. Smells as good as it tastes. Faint scent/taste of coffee, lingers on the tongue for awhile.

Appearance: clea rblack in color with a creamy 1" head that lasts a while. Some nice lacing develops.
Smell: hints of roasted malts and coffee.
Taste: roasted malt, molasses, coffee, and chocolate are all very mellow but well balanced. An overall creamy texture creates a lighter experience.
Mouthfeel: smooth, dry, and creamy throughout. A prickle of crispness during he initial swigs. Afteraste is short on the roasted malt and coffee tones. Medium bodied.
Drinkability: very nice even though it is not as meaty as some other oatmeal stouts. IMHO I found this to be the best beer at Pike's during my trip.

In my opinion this is one of Pike's better beers. Nice black colour with a creamy tan head. Chocolate, malty nose. Faint oatmeal sweetness. Rich mocha and toffee taste. I can't detect the oatmeal, but it certainly adds to the smoothness.
Good body, not too thin. Easy to drink.

This beer pours a black body with a thick head that lasts through the glass. The aroma was all roasted malt with a hint of oatmeal. The taste was roasted malt, with a hint of sweetness, hops were just there for balance. I couldn't taste any oats but it was smooth. Nice thick creamy mouthfeel. Would make a great session beer but probably not complex enough to drink all night.

Appearance Almost black in color with a huge, pitting head that went down slowly and beautifully.
Smell Yes, this one is full of oatmeal. Theres also a good amount of roasted malts along with a small bit of coffee. This is a stouty stout indeed.
Taste The roasted malts lead off followed by the promised flavor of oatmeal. This one was good but it lost some of its complexity from the nose.
Mouthfeel This one is big, almost full, but there was some annoying carbonation that I didnt like.
Drinkability This was better than I expected. Were not known here in Seattle for doing up right styles like this, but the Pike Oatmeal Stout wasnt all that bad.
