I had this beer on-tap in a snifter at WABL Belgianfest 2015.
Appearance: light orange/medium gold hue with plenty of haze and a nice layer of white foam. Attractive!
Smell: giant vanilla, big oak, all the time, just wonderful. It's got a light fruitiness from the underlying tripel, but the sweet malt and the fruit play extremely well with the barrel character. Fan-damn-tastic.
Taste: vanilla, toffee, crème brûlée; it's sweet with a light fruitiness and a little bit of astringency from the oak. The flavors meld in just a wonderful way with this beer, same as in the aroma. Just amazing.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a nice carbonation and a good creaminess.
Overall: I love the idea of aging tripels in oak, and here this idea is executed to fantastic effect. Would that I could get this beer all the time.
