Amber brew with carbonation on the shy side. Light body and refreshing, but not watery. A hint of lime and orange in the nose. This starts out like a Blonde Ale, a little sweet malt and a hint of resins. It gradually works up to something not entirely unlike an English Pale Ale. For the very modest 4.2% it's quite flavorful and even slightly interesting.
Slight bitter aftertaste is in keeping with the restrained nature. There's a berry-like flavor under the sweet malt that runs through the taste. Hints of a different sort of citrus flavor-- citron? From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Pioneer Market in La Conner.
